Passenger Alert – Check Flight Status Before Coming to the Airport

Operational Update

Following yesterday’s flight disruptions, airport operations are expected to resume normally today, Sunday, January 4.

Passengers with confirmed scheduled flights are advised to arrive on time. Passenger flow control measures remain in effect, and the airport may be busier than usual as today’s cancellations are accommodated in close coordination with airline partners and airport authorities, in a safe and secure manner.

Passengers whose flights were cancelled yesterday, as well as travelers without a confirmed flight, are strongly advised not to come to the airport and to contact their airline directly for rebooking and travel arrangements.

Passengers are encouraged to check directly with their airline and visit https://www.airportaruba.com/live-departure-times for the most up-to-date flight information before traveling to the airport.

Delta flight from Minneapolis

ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) employees present at the airport were pleased to welcome yet another direct flight offered by Delta, this time the Minneapolis – Aruba seasonal service. Delta passengers were greeted with a token of appreciation as they departed the aircraft.

AAA CEO Mr. James Fazio proudly welcomed the flight to Aruba: “This is a great day, because with this new service by Delta we are providing additional quality options for our passengers. This is an exciting moment, as winter is probably the best time to be on our sunny island. Midwest travelers show a great trust in the airline and we are convinced that we will be welcoming additional Delta flights from Minneapolis to Aruba in the future.”

Delta Airlines will provide the weekly MSP – AUA (Minneapolis – Aruba) from December 2017 and will continue offering this service until March 31, 2018. This flight is the third nonstop flight to Aruba performed by Delta Airlines, as Atlanta and New York are also served non-stop by the airline. The new seasonal weekly MSP - AUA flight operated with a B737-800 type aircraft arrives at 4:40 pm and has a seat capacity of 199 seats.
