Welcome to Aruba Airport Arrival Guide
Whether you’re returning home or visiting Aruba for the first time, this quick guide will help you move smoothly through arrival procedures.
Step 1: Disembarkation
Once your aircraft has parked collect all your belongings before leaving the plane and follow the signs to the Arrivals area.
- Follow the "Arrivals hall" and "Baggage re-claim" signs inside the terminal.
Tip: Keep your passport and ED Card QR code easily accessible — you’ll need them soon.
Step 2: Immigration
- All arriving passengers must clear Immigration before entering Aruba.
- Have your passport and ED Card QR code ready for inspection.
- The ED Card (Embarkation/Disembarkation Card) must be completed online before your flight to Aruba. Link: www.edcardaruba.aw
- An Immigration Officer will verify your travel documents and entry eligibility.
- Eligible travelers may use the e-gates for faster processing.
Important:
If you did not complete your ED Card before traveling, you must do so online before reaching the Immigration counter — this may cause delays.
Step 3: Baggage Claim
After clearing Immigration, proceed to the Baggage re-claim area.
- Check the overhead monitors for your flight number and assigned carousel.
- Collect all checked luggage before continuing.
Step 4: Customs
After collecting your luggage, proceed to Aruba Customs Control.
- If you are carrying more than USD 11,000 in cash you must report directly to the Customs Office upon arrival.
- Travelers are allowed to bring up to 1 liter of liquor and 1 carton of cigarettes per person duty-free through Aruba Customs.
- Before reaching Customs, you’ll find one duty-free store located in the Baggage Claim area, offering a final opportunity to shop for tax-free goods upon arrival.
- Random inspections may occur as part of standard security procedures.
Tip: For detailed information on allowances, restricted items, and regulations, please visit the official Aruba Customs website: www.douane.aw
Step 5: Arrivals Hall
After Customs, you’ll exit into the Arrivals Hall.
- This is where you’ll meet family, friends, or transport representatives.
- If you have prearranged a hotel transfer, car rental, or tour, follow the signage to your respective area.
- Taxis are readily available outside the terminal for your convenience — look for the official taxi stand near the exit.
You’re all set!
