U.S.-bound passengers: Access to the U.S. Check-In Terminal is limited to 3 hours before departure as part of Gateway2030 construction measures to support a more efficient travel experience.
Dear travelers,
Starting May 1st, 2026, you may notice that most shops and food & beverage locations on the right side after security are closed. This is part of the preparation for the next stage of Gateway 2030 – Phase 1B.
Please rest assured that these shops and dining options will be relocated to other gate areas in the coming months.

Gateway 2030 is our multi-year airport transformation program designed to create a smoother, more comfortable, and more modern travel experience for every passenger.
In April 2025, we unveiled our new U.S. Check-In Hall. A brighter, more spacious environment designed with sustainability at its core. Natural light, energy-efficient systems, and locally inspired design come together to set the tone for a journey that begins the moment you step inside.
Behind the scenes, we also brought a state-of-the-art baggage handling system capable of processing up to 2,000 bags per hour. Faster sorting, fewer delays, and more reliable connections.
Phase 1B is well underway around Gate 8 and 9. We're adding three new gates with boarding bridges, three new bus gates, larger hold rooms with more seating, and additional retail and dining. All designed to give travelers more space, comfort, and choice before their flight.
Phase 2 brings the full departures journey together, one continuous flow from curb to gate. It includes an extended check-in hall serving all travelers, modernized document and passport control, a centralized security checkpoint for U.S. and non-U.S. passengers, an upgraded U.S. Customs & Border Protection facility, and a new U.S. Shopping Plaza with a food court, retail, generous seating, and an interior garden inspired by Aruba's outdoor lifestyle, bringing greenery and natural light deep into the terminal.
