Qredits Aruba, in collaboration with Aruba Airport Authority N.V., successfully concluded the “BeYourOwnBoss” educational program for the 2025–2026 school year with its Final Pitch Event.

The Final Pitch Event, held on May 29, 2026 at Hyatt Place Airport, brought together aspiring young entrepreneurs who presented their business ideas developed throughout the program. As a key component of the program, students were challenged to develop and present a product or service to address a real demand within Aruba Airport Authority’s organization, encouraging practical thinking and innovation. Students demonstrated creativity, innovation, and practical application of skills such as problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.

A distinguished panel of judges, consisting of experienced business leaders and professionals, evaluated the presentations and provided valuable feedback. The jury included Jonny Andersen (Chief Executive Officer, Aruba Airport Authority N.V.), Tisa LaSorte (President & CEO, Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association), Twyma van der Biezen (Entrepreneur & Representative, Qredits Aruba), and Diederik Kemmerling (President, Aruba Chamber of Commerce).

Qredits Aruba and Aruba Airport Authority N.V. are proud to support initiatives that empower the next generation. The program reflects a shared commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and personal development among young people in Aruba.

The “BeYourOwnBoss” program, a collaboration between Qredits Aruba and Aruba Airport Authority N.V., is designed to inspire entrepreneurship in an interactive and practical way. Throughout the school year, students worked on developing their own business concepts, conducted local market research and prepared for the final presentation of their product or service ideas. Over the years, more than 500 MAVO and HAVO students across Aruba have participated in the “BeYourOwnBoss” program. For the 2025–2026 school year, approximately 150 students between the ages of 14 and 17 took part, continuing the program’s focus on developing essential future skills and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among the island’s youth.

Both organizations extend their congratulations to all participating students, teachers, and schools for their dedication and hard work throughout the program.

As the program concludes, there is strong confidence that the ideas developed by these young entrepreneurs can grow into impactful local businesses, contributing to the future economic development and innovation of Aruba.

Qredits Aruba, junto con Aruba Airport Authority N.V., concluyó con éxito el programa “BeYourOwnBoss” para el año escolar 2025–2026 con el Final Pitch Event.

El Final Pitch Event se llevó a cabo el 29 de mayo de 2026 en Hyatt Place Airport. Durante el evento, los estudiantes presentaron las ideas de negocio en las que trabajaron durante el programa. Una parte importante del programa fue que los estudiantes desarrollaron soluciones para problemas reales dentro de la organización. Esto les permitió pensar de manera práctica y creativa. Los estudiantes demostraron que pueden trabajar en equipo, resolver problemas y presentar sus ideas con claridad.

Un jurado compuesto por profesionales con experiencia evaluó las presentaciones y brindó comentarios valiosos.
